Minority Cell

Minority Cell

Netaji Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya

Netaji Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya has a consistent record of reaching out to the minority class students from the adjacent areas since its establishment. Its location has a sizeable population of the minorities, and almost half of our students belong to the minorities. We have always encouraged the minority students to get involved in higher education so that they can face the competitive world. Following the UGC regulations, Netaji Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya has set up a cell for the minorities with the representatives from the teachers and the non teaching staff . The objectives of the cell are as follows

  • Look into the general welfare and progression of the minority students.
  • Encouraging them to have minority scholarship along with other ones as and when it is possible, since most of them come from poor background.
  • Maintaining the ratio of minority reservation in the Institute according to the Constitutional provision and UGC guideline in the time of admission and appointment.
  • Making sure that all the minority candidates get the due grants/scholarships/allowances from the Govt. as per the rule.
  • Registering the complaints in writing from minority teachers, employees, and students and address it to the concerned person for steps.
  • Having updated knowledge of the government benefits and facilities for the minority candidates.
