Department Of Bengali
Introduction
The dept of Bengali was established with BA general course in 2001 and BA Hons course from 2002 (Affiliation of C.U). Presently the department has more than 219 Students in 3 year degree course. The teachers are competent, punctual and enthusiastic. The department of Bengali arranges different co-curricular activities like Wall Magazine, Special Lecture by external experts, subject related Slide show, one-day Excursion etc. Excursion is organized at the historically important places and museum. Students of the dept also participate in the extra-curricular activities like Quiz Contest, Sports and NSS etc. Many ex-students of the dept are employed in govt. services in school education, Indian Army, WB Police etc. and also in private sector. The student-teacher relationship in this dept is extremely cordial.
